The Affiliate Societies Council (ASC) and its TechFest Team received the 2010 Wilson Charbonneaux Award from the Engineers Club of Dayton. The award is given annually to honor those individuals and organizations for their efforts to make science and technology understandable to the general public and to understand the impact that science and technology has on society.

The ASC 2012 TechFest program will be held, as usual, at Sinclair Community College on February 18 and 19. For more details, click on the TechFest link above. The 2012 year is special, because it is the 10th anniversary of the TechFest program. This program was first presented as part of the 2003 celebration of the 100th anniversary of the first powered, heavier-than-air, manned flight by Dayton's Orville and Wilbur Wright in 1903.

The selection process includes rankings of the candidates by the member societies. The nominees selected for 2012 awards presentation will be announced here in January. Check back then.
