The Affiliate Societies Council of the Miami Valley presents the 6th annual TechFest program getting K-12 students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) subjects through hands-on exhibits and entertaining presentations.
Events for teachers include workshops offered on Saturday for ideas to include engaging STEM activities in your classroom curriculum.
TechFest Feedback:
“TechFest is a unique experience for students and their parents. They can browse a wide range and number of sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics hands-on activities and demonstrations. It is a show case of the capabilities opportunities among colleges, universities, professions, and employers in the greater Dayton/Miami Valley—all focused on showing youth the fun they can have while learning about science and math.”
-Dr. Dan Curran, President of the University of Dayton
(Honorary Chair, TechFest 2008)
“Many educators recognize that a hands-on experience by the student provides an excellent learning environment. TechFest offers the widest array of quality hands-on activities in science and technology that I have seen anywhere. Youth and their parents should not miss an opportunity to participate in this exciting and fun program,”
-Denny Morrison, Superintendent, Beavercreek City Schools
(Honorary Chair, TechFest 2007)
